Information we collect and how we use it:
We may collect personal information that identifies you as an individual, such as:
- Your Name;
- Your Postal address (including billing and shipping addresses);
- Your Telephone or fax number;
- Your E-mail address;
- Your Credit and debit card number;
- Your Vendor Tax ID numbers;
- Your Financial information when you use your credit or debit card to make a purchase; and
- Your Purchase history and purchase interests in art.
Providing zip code information is entirely optional, however if you are purchasing art, you will not be able to complete your purchase without including your zip code for billing and shipping purposes. ArtLoupe uses zip code information to facilitate location-based searches for artwork. Selecting the “Buy Local” option when searching for art will cause ArtLoupe to arrange search results so that priority is given to artists whose zip code information, as provided in their ArtLoupe profile, is geographically closest in proximity to the zip code information provided in the profile of the person running the search. Your zip code information will be kept private and will not appear on your user profile page, in search results or anywhere else in the ArtLoupe mobile applications.
ArtLoupe collects personal information when you participate in various opportunities that we provide, for example:
- When you create an ArtLoupe account for any purpose;
- When you contact us or register for updates, subscriptions or other communications through this website, mobile application, Facebook, Twitter, or any other application;
- When you submit artwork for sale;
- When you order artwork, a product or service or make a request;
- When you purchase and pay for artwork;
- When you participate in a contest, promotion, sweepstakes, survey or other promotion;
- When you participate in a blog or forum; and
- When we conduct market research or when we meet you at an ArtLoupe event, an event hosted or sponsored by an ArtLoupe affiliate, or social or other event.
Automatically Collected Information
We may passively collect information that is automatically sent to us by your web browser or your internet service provider. This information typically includes your domain name, your user name, and your numerical IP address. The amount of information sent by your web browser depends on its settings. Please refer to your browser if you want to learn what information it sends. We use this type of information to see which web pages you visit at our website or mobile application, which website you visited before coming to our website or mobile application, and where you go after you leave our website or mobile application. We can then develop statistics that help us understand how our visitors use our website and mobile application and how we can improve it.
When you submit a question or suggestion using this website or our mobile application, you may be required to provide information that we need to complete your request, including your name, address, phone number, and email address. Your computer may be specially configured to reject cookies; please refer to your browser for more information. Many websites of companies associated with ArtLoupe will allow you to visit without accepting cookies, but some features of our websites may not work properly if you choose to reject cookies.
